Brady Genik is a dual Canadian and American citizen based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and a recent graduate of the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology — where he completed his Network System Administrator Diploma through an accelerated program run concurrently alongside secondary school.
Before graduating, Genik completed a Work-Integrated Learning internship with the City of Winnipeg's Tech & Innovation Department, where he was responsible for PDU load balancing, ATS configuration, rack diagram design, fiber optic cabling, and Cisco infrastructure deployment across a large multi-site municipal environment. He also researched and presented the feasibility of integrating artificial intelligence into enterprise infrastructure, delivering his findings directly to IT management — a task, he noted, "that nobody asked a 19-year-old to do, but here we are."
During his studies, Genik founded Argus Operations, a commercial datacenter infrastructure management platform currently in active development, featuring two custom-built agents — Morpheus, an SNMP polling agent, and Iris, a VM metrics agent — as well as Pantheon, a self-hosted code repository and deployment platform.
His personal homelab, running Proxmox VE with five Linux virtual machines, a Cisco 3750-E switch, and a self-built NAS, serves as the primary development environment for all Argus Operations products.
Beyond his own ventures, Genik has volunteered with Cyber Wave, instructing local youth on securing operating systems and performing vulnerability scans.
Genik placed 2nd at the 2024 North Forge Ramp Up Weekend and was selected as a Top 10 startup in 2026.
